Reflection on Round Table
By Fulton Shober
My time in Fellows so far has held many different things. It has been good to feel a little more settled in and to find a good rhythm. It has been cool to put names to faces and get to know this new community more intentionally. A couple of these things are a round table, my host family, and the seminary class that we are taking.
Round table is a weekly rhythm that the Fellows do each week. Each Tuesday night we meet and eat dinner at Gray’s house “our director/friend/mentor” haha. We eat dinner together and then dive into a time of a topical discussion. One of the nights we dig into Ephesians 1. I enjoyed getting to dive into the Word with all our Fellows. I feel like I got to hear and share how our lives tie back to what Scripture is saying. I think this specific night showed a deeper understanding of the book of Ephesians as we unpacked “heavenly places”. It was interesting because I just overlooked this word in the past but it was fascinating to discuss with our group what we think it means.
