Reflection on Community

By Quinton Ellis

The most meaningful thing that I’ve experienced in the Fellows Program so far is the community. One of my biggest worries entering the world as a young adult was what community would look like. If it would look similar to my community in college, or if I would have community at all. The Fellows Program hands you a community of people that are in a similar stage of life, meaning that everyone is coming from a similar place. I was worried about being able to connect well with people or what they’d think about me. God immediately threw all of my worries out of the door when I went to Gray’s house for our first Fellows dinner where I met everyone else. It felt like I had already known everyone for years. We laughed, shared stories, and talked about the ways that we’re hoping the Lord would move. Since then, our community has only gotten closer through the work that God has been doing.
